CT ENFIELD — Agricultural Commission reviews farmland preservation priorities, presses town counsel on zoning. The commission evaluated Trinity Farm on Oliver Road and Chmura farm on Middle Road against conservation scoring criteria set by Connecticut's Farmland Preservation Program, which requires a minimum 65-point rating for applications. Chair Karen LaPlante distributed soil maps to refine the scoring rubric.
Assistant Town Planner Stephen Hiney was directed to follow up with Attorney Merriam on the stalled Farm Friendly Zoning Regulations, after the attorney mistakenly believed the draft shared was not final.
