Board denies residency status, school accommodations to students
Board of Education · Meeting of January 6, 2026
CT ENFIELD — Enfield Board of Education votes unanimously to deny school accommodations to nonresident students. The three-member board, with Chair Amanda Pickett, members Rosalee Brocuglio and Dean Gousse present, convened in executive session on January 6 to hear a confidential student residency matter. Superintendent Steven Moccio and attorneys Christine Chinni and Daniel Murphy attended.
The board determined the students discussed are not Enfield residents and do not qualify as "homeless" under Connecticut General Statutes Section 10-186, rendering them ineligible for school accommodations.
