Building committee reviews five-school construction project schedule

CT ENFIELD — Building committee approves prior minutes and eyes June deadline for grant applications. The Pre-K Through 5 and Eagle Academy Pre-Referendum Building Committee, chaired by Randy Daigle, approved three sets of prior meeting minutes January 7 and received architect updates on the preferred design for four elementary schools plus Eagle Academy Therapeutic Day School. The project would require approximately 58 million dollars in initial bonds starting in 2028, with 85 percent state reimbursement, and a second phase after 2030 needing about 33 million dollars.
Educational specification approval from the Board of Education must be completed by late May to meet the June 30 grant deadline.
