Commission on Aging reelects slate of officers

CT ENFIELD — The Enfield Commission on Aging reelected its full slate of officers for the coming year, with Chairman Alice Egan continuing in her role despite being absent. Vice Chairman Marlene Hoginski reported that the Senior Center recorded 5,486 door visits in December and hosted three holiday events, including presentations on tax preparation and brain health optimization. The commission approved the treasurer's December report, which noted that expenses for the Nursing Home Project came within $19.75 of budget.
Standing committees reported on ongoing programs including AARP and VITA tax preparation services beginning in February and Christmas donations made to 37 residents at St. Joseph's Residence and Parkway Rehab Center.
