Conservation Commission Creates Natural Resources Inventory Subcommittee

CT ENFIELD — The Enfield Conservation Commission created a natural resources inventory subcommittee and tabled a $1,200 nonprofit funding request. Commissioners William Cote, Megan Kelley, and Jeremy Dugas volunteered for the subcommittee, which will pursue one of the commission's stated environmental goals. Chair Cote reviewed the commission's broader agenda, which also includes creating an open space parcels list, obtaining natural resources grants, creating a trail map, and identifying vernal pools.
Commissioner Nancy Wyzga will contact the North Central Conservation District to determine if they can provide expert testimony. The next meeting is February 10, 2026.
