CT ENFIELD — Enfield's Conservation Commission voted to request Town Council consideration of a proposed community garden on Elm Street and Shaker Road. The 7-0 vote came after a recommendation from Aaron Marcavitch, Director of Economic Development. The proposal has faced prior obstacles due to contaminated soil concerns at the site, which has not been tested in over fifteen years; Commissioner Nancy Wyzga confirmed the garden would be ground-level rather than raised beds, acknowledging the soil remediation that would be required.
