Council advances five school projects with November 3 referenda

CT ENFIELD — Council authorizes school construction and renovation projects slated for November referenda. The Enfield Town Council unanimously advanced four new elementary school construction projects and one renovation, authorizing the Board of Education to pursue state grants for Hazardville Memorial, Prudence Crandall, Edgar H. Parkman, Henry Barnard, and Eagle Academy at Eli Whitney Elementary School.
Town Manager Matthew Coppler confirmed state reimbursement at 70 percent for new construction and a lower rate for renovation. All resolutions passed unanimously; building committees have been established and referenda are scheduled for November 3, 2026.
