Council deliberates FY2027 budget, eyes $1.9M in state aid

CT ENFIELD — Enfield Town Council deliberates on FY2027 budget with $1.9 million in state aid. Director of Finance John Wilcox reported that the state legislature approved nearly $1.9 million in supplemental education funding: $1,192,946 in Educational Aid, $575,188 in Pequot funding, and $87,842 in Pilot funding. The funds must be spent on education but may help mitigate the mill rate.

Town Manager Matthew Coppler identified $600,000 in reductions from completed capital projects.
