CT ENFIELD — Enfield Curriculum Committee approves three revised culinary courses. John Dague presented the changes replacing Foundational, Transitional, and Advanced Culinary Arts with Introduction to Culinary Arts, Introduction to Commercial Cooking and Baking, and Professional Food Service and Catering at Enfield High School. The courses, funded through the Perkins Grant, align with ProStart curriculum and enable students to earn three industry-recognized certifications: ServSafe Food Handler, ServSafe Manager, and ProStart Levels 1 and 2.
The final course will carry honors weight. Rosalee Brocuglio moved to approve; the committee voted unanimously in favor.
