CT ENFIELD — Enfield elementary schools committee analyzes $211 million repair cost against new construction referendum. The Pre-K Through 5 and Eagle Academy School Pre-Referendum Building Committee reviewed architect-prepared cost analysis showing that repairing all five existing elementary school buildings would cost approximately $211 million in out-of-pocket expenses, with no programmatic improvements. Committee Chair Tina LeBlanc led the committee in finalizing question-and-answer materials for a community conversation scheduled February 4, with a presentation to the Board of Education tentatively set for March 2 or April 7.
The reimbursement strategy highlights a 70 to 75 percent state share for new construction, with an additional 15 percent premium for pre-K and Eagle Academy programs.
