Enfield allows vehicle repair shops in industrial zone for Amazon fleet maintenance

CT ENFIELD — Enfield planning commission approves Amazon vehicle fleet maintenance facility in industrial zone. The Planning and Zoning Commission voted seven to zero to amend section 6.20 Use Requirements, effective July 13, 2026, allowing motor vehicle repair garages and body shops in the Industrial 1 zone for fleet maintenance only. The Capital Region Council of Governments issued a positive referral on the amendment.
Commissioners also voted seven to zero to extend through October 27, 2027, a development permit at 92 Main St for parking and site improvements.
