Enfield education board advances three policies to first reading

Board of Education · Meeting of March 17, 2026

CT ENFIELD — Enfield Board of Education Policy Committee advances three policies for Board consideration. The committee unanimously approved moving revised Policy 5111 on school admission age, revised Policy 6111 allowing schools to set a firm graduation date on or after the 180th day of school, and the repeal of redundant Policy 6111.1 to the full Board's next meeting. A proposal by committee member Janet Cushman for a new Policy 9240 establishing member attire standards failed when no other committee member seconded.

The committee tabled consideration of Policy 5112 (Age of Attendance/Dropouts) pending further investigation into the district's birth-to-three services policies.
