Enfield marks nation's 250th anniversary with planned events through year

CT ENFIELD — Enfield's America250 committee schedules events for bicentennial celebration in 2026. The committee planned monument dedications in April for Thomas Abbey and Jonathan Edwards, an Eli Whitney Jazz concert February 9, and a July 10-12 Fourth of July Celebration. Aaron Marcavitch, Director of Economic and Community Development and staff liaison, is coordinating with the town library while the committee explores CustomInk for merchandise.
Emily Clifford recommended monthly social media promotion of events, and the committee discussed a festival booth and a fireworks grant written by Marcavitch.
