CT ENFIELD — Enfield Planning & Zoning Commission approved a text amendment increasing building coverage in the Industrial Park zone to 50 percent. The amendment, sought by 176 South Road Enterprises LLC, targets parcels abutting South Road with a 7-0 vote, effective October 8. Director Laurie Whitten said the change would have no adverse impact, though Commissioner Linda DeGray raised spot-zoning concerns during public comment.

The commission also sent a unanimous positive referral to the Town Council for purchasing 60 Long Hollow Road for open space preservation, supported by Conservation Commission members who cited the property's connection to Scantic Park trails. Eight applications, including a mulching operation, apartment complex, and antenna tower project, were tabled.
