Enfield TIF committee approves awning loan, tables Pearl Street project

Tax Increment Financing Advisory Committee · Meeting of July 15, 2026

CT ENFIELD — Enfield TIF committee approves $7,000 façade loan for Pearl Street awnings. The Tax Increment Financing Advisory Committee unanimously approved the application from Patrick and Jeanette Tallarita for window awnings at 11 Pearl Street, determining the awnings align with Thompsonville Design Standards. The committee tabled a $50,000 application from Zhong Chen for site improvements at 28 Pearl Street pending design revisions; Director of Planning Aaron Marcavitch recommended the tabling to allow refinement of the stucco façade and signage design.

In related business, the committee discussed the Northgate TIF District master plan with input from Commissioners Marie Pyznar and John Santanella, who attended a Capital Region Council of Governments walkthrough, and authorized the board to pursue credit enhancement agreements for qualifying commercial uses.
