Enfield Town Council names Cieslak as Town Attorney, 6-5

CT ENFIELD — Enfield Town Council appoints Cindy M. Cieslak as Town Attorney in 6-5 vote. Mayor Gina Cekala was authorized to execute the agreement with the Rose Kallor LLP attorney, whose compensation is capped at $110,000 for a two-year term through December 31, 2027, with any excess requiring council approval.
Five council members voted against the appointment, citing concerns about cost, continuity, and the lack of a hard salary cap. The hourly fee structure ranges from $270 for partners to $105 for paralegals, excluding local travel. Cieslak assumes the role effective February 2, 2026.
