Enfield wetlands agency approves map amendment, demolition permit

Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Agency · Meeting of February 3, 2026

CT ENFIELD — Enfield wetlands agency approves map amendment and demolition permit. The Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency voted unanimously to amend the town's wetlands map, removing a delineation from the Herbert property at 226 Brainard Road after soil scientist William Jackson determined the soils were excessively drained and inconsistent with wetland criteria. The agency also unanimously approved a wetlands permit for Toro Credit Company to demolish five buildings at 173 Moody Road with erosion control via silt fencing and construction entrance pads; work begins in spring and is expected to take one week.

A Cease and Desist order for 50 Steele Road was closed after the homeowner installed required tree medallions.
