CT ENFIELD — Enfield Planning and Zoning Commission reaches consensus on four zoning amendments affecting lake access, building coverage, foundations, and municipal signage. Chair Kenneth Hilinski oversaw discussion led by Director of Planning Laurie Whitten, with the Commission agreeing to prohibit accessory structures between houses and lakes, exclude pervious decks and porches from building coverage calculations, and clarify requirements for homes without cellars. On LED-lit changeable messaging boards for municipal announcements, the Commission directed staff to conduct further research and reached consensus to pursue an amendment allowing signs at each development entrance.
