CT ENFIELD — Enfield's Pre-K through 5 and Eagle Academy school building committee targets September referendum. The committee, chaired by Randy Daigle, set the September target while stressing the need for complete cost estimates before ballot language can be finalized. The group must submit grant applications by July 1, 2026, and navigate a potential state cap on construction reimbursement rates.
Phase I environmental testing, requiring bids from three firms to inspect for asbestos and hazardous materials, is the immediate priority. The Town Council must set the referendum date by June 30.
