Subcommittee votes to advance veterans exemption to priority business

CT ENFIELD — The Enfield General Government subcommittee voted 3-0 to elevate the veterans exemption question to priority business. The committee met Friday with seven members present — John Santanella, Gina Cekala, Steve Bielenda, Carol Hall, Matt Coppler, John Wilcox, and Becca Archambault — and approved prior minutes by the same 3-0 tally before spending most of the meeting tabling or rescheduling items. Two sewer cases and two tax hardship cases were moved or tabled for later consideration.
Members indicated they would return to their individual caucus groups to decide whether to adopt Option 4 of the veterans exemption policy.
