TIF Committee advances Thompsonville property appraisals

CT ENFIELD — Enfield's Tax Increment Financing Committee advances preliminary plans for appraisals of two Thompsonville development properties. Town Manager Matthew Coppler directed staff to seek three appraisal bids for the Old Country Store and a High Street property, with recommendations due back to the committee. Members raised an unresolved question: whether proceeds from a future sale would benefit the TIF fund or the town's general fund.
The committee also scheduled an April 7 public hearing on a Midtown TIF amendment and reviewed Master Plan updates to the Northgate TIF District with Director of Planning Laurie Whitten and Director of Finance John Wilcox.
