Town Council hears FY 27 budget proposals for Social Services and Public Works

CT ENFIELD — The Town Council heard FY 27 budget presentations from Social Services and Public Works on April 15. Social Services Director Cindy Guerreri outlined a $7.2 million budget, up 5.2 percent, supporting 90 staff serving residents from early childhood through elderly care. Public Works Director Donald T.

Nunes presented a $22.3 million budget across seven divisions, an 18.83 percent increase that funds two additional custodians, a Trades Crew Leader position, and specialized maintenance staff. The Water Pollution Control Facility budget decreased 20 percent to $7.7 million, reflecting reduced capital spending. Both departments outlined multi-year capital improvement plans.
