Town Council receives $168 million FY 2027 budget proposal

CT ENFIELD — Town Council receives $168.2 million FY 2027 budget proposal from Town Manager Matthew W. Coppler. The total includes $84,641,342 for town government and $83,578,112 for Enfield Public Schools, representing a combined 4.95 percent increase over the adopted FY 2026 budget.
The proposed mill rate of 34.28 mills for real and personal property (up 2.78 mills) would increase property taxes by $584 annually for a $300,000 home. New positions include an Assistant Collector of Revenue, a Zoning Enforcement Officer, and additional support staff, while capital projects total $2.5 million for vehicle replacement and facility improvements.
