Vote on February Expenditure Certifications Carries

Board of Education · Meeting of March 2, 2026

CT ENFIELD — Finance Committee approves February expenditure certifications and budget freeze. Kelsey McGuire-Bruce, Finance Committee Chair, and committee members Danielle Girard and Robert Anderson reviewed a comprehensive FY2026 budget status report presented by Business Manager Lorena Cisneros. The committee voted to accept February's Certification of Expenditures, which reflected higher personnel costs from two payroll cycles and recent Alliance and SEED grant approvals.

Superintendent Steven Moccio announced a budget freeze effective March 3, with a final spending deadline of March 27 to allow time for year-end fiscal processing and vendor reconciliation. The committee also clarified that the Talented and Gifted Program serves exclusively John F. Kennedy Middle School students and does not extend to the elementary level.
