Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of September 28, 2026

CT ENFIELD — Enfield's Zoning Board rejected a property owner's appeal of a timber-processing cease-order. Property owner Joseph Raschi challenged a cease-and-desist order from Zoning Enforcement Officer Rick Rachele alleging violations at 174 Shaker Road, including timber processing and an alleged accessory apartment. Raschi, represented by attorney George Schober, removed the storage trailer and mulch piles from the property but declined to allow an inspection to verify the apartment claim.

Chair Andrew Urbanowicz, Richard Stroiney, Mary Ann Turner, Christine DeBonee, and Charles Joseph Mastroberti all voted no on the motion to overturn the order. The board voted 5-0 to deny the appeal, upholding the cease-and-desist order.
