Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of February 9, 2026
CT ENFIELD — Zoning board defers decision on high-water-table basement variance. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted unanimously to continue the public hearing on a variance request at 75 Oliver Road, where property owner Reinhard von Hollander constructed a single-family home without a basement due to a high water table. Chair Andrew Urbanowicz and commissioners heard testimony from soil scientist Jim Sakonchick, attorney William Case, and adjacent property owner Edward Cowan, who expressed concerns about water drainage onto his property.
