Enfield Library Board approves movie license renewals, cites strong visitor increase

CT ENFIELD — Enfield Library Board approves movie license renewals amid strong usage growth. The Library Board of Trustees unanimously voted to renew two movie licenses for no more than $1,300. Board members heard that the library recorded 95,519 visits and 210,926 items checked out, representing a 19 percent and 22 percent increase respectively.
The library also reported 417 total programs attended by 11,407 people, with the Children's Outreach programs alone hosting 49 events for 1,674 kids. The board hired Dan Keating as a new Pearl Street Library Assistant after Leah Lopez's resignation, bringing both library locations to full staffing.
