CT ENFIELD — Enfield Charter Commission removes referendum requirement from proposed revisions. The commission voted 6-2 on April 14 to delete referendum language from the charter, reverting to provisions that do not require voter approval for certain municipal actions. The commission unanimously modified Chapter 5 Section 1, changing the language to "not more than" rather than "additional," based on Town Attorney suggestions.
The commission voted 7-1 to cancel its Thursday meeting, with Vice Chairman Katherine Bouley voting against the cancellation.
